Kendra is the University of Minnesota Vascular Access Nurse Manager with over 30 years of experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients.  With a career dedicated to advancing vascular access practice she focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring patient safety, and reducing preventable harm related to vascular access.  Passionate about fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, Kendra leads with both clinical expertise and a commitment to high-quality safe patient care.

Objectives

  • Understand Causes of Central Venous Catheter Dislodgement
  • Identify and Describe Three Forms of CVC Securement
  • Differentiate Between Adhesive and Anchoring Securement Devices​
  • Decrease healthcare costs, and improve patient care and satisfaction by eliminating accidental CVC dislodgment
